Identity – Gala #3

NSW, USA, Italy

Wed 16 Sep, 6:30pm | 3 hours Online Event

Week three takes a, sometimes heartbreaking, often laugh-out-loud funny look at identity - what it means to be other, or to be othered, and how we can celebrate and raise up what has been oppressed.

Mr Yunioshi Asian-American writer/performer J. Elijah Cho shares a laugh-a-minute imagining of what Micky Rooney might have gone through to prepare for his now cringeworthy performance in Breakfast At Tiffany’s.

Our Visions Begin With Our Desires – Chapter 2 The Real Housewives of Black Birds are back; bigger, badder and more blinged out than ever. Black Birds reputation for a unique brand of intersectional, interdisciplinary and intercultural comedic performance precedes them to the stage.

Pasta e Lava The Italian and American duo ‘My Homeless Lover’ have created a physical parable of human progress and power struggle – a Sisyphean cycle of creation, conflict, destruction and rebirth.
