From September to December The Sydney Fringe will provide a home and much needed funds to artist across Performance, Writing and Visual art – helping to get artists back to work.

Art in Isolation is moving into our headquarters at 5 Eliza Street Newtown thanks to our Sydney Fringe Donors and Government partner the Inner West Council. Over four months we will be providing 18 artists paid residencies to create work for our 2021 festival. This investment comes at a time when many independent artists have slipped through the cracks of Government support during the Covid crisis and are facing incredibly difficult times. It is an absolute honour to be able to provide them not only a safe space to create work in, but the means to do so.

This project will provide support to four playwrights, four visual artists and nine performing artists and multi disciplinary video artist and will take place from September-December 2020.
