Have you ever felt like an outsider? Richard Lindesay is a flute and recorder player from New Zealand, and you’d think that would make him an outsider, wouldn’t you?

Always Been a Player is a musical comedy extravaganza, where Richard takes a journey through time and space to show you how he became the coolest player in the land.

Expect jokes, expect music, expect funny and dramatic songs, expect unexpected characters, and most of all expect a whole load of family friendly silliness.

Always Been a Player has a limited run at Sydney Fringe and is expected to sell out, so don’t miss out and get your tickets now.

Richard is a musical comedian who uses flutes, recorders, and sharp jokes to create a surprising and accessible comedy performance. Richard has performed in comedy clubs and festivals throughout the UK, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.

Richard was a grand finalist in the UK Musical Comedy Awards in 2020, which finds the best musical comedians each year from hundreds of participants. Richard had a big impact during the heats of the competition and was put straight to the final. Before the pandemic hit, Richard was set to perform at the grand final in the Bloomsbury Theatre in London, where he was one of the favourites to win the competition.
