Crippled Kinsmen

Tickets $34 - $39

Sat 10 Sep, 9:30pm | 1 hour

Two brothers, one night, and the myth and memory of a long-gone father. An emotional drama, brimming with black humour, which tackles a slew of contemporary issues head on.

Gutsy, raw, and honest, Crippled Kinsmen is an explosive immersive theatre experience. Set in one location – an abandoned factory warehouse – the ever-destructive events unfold in real time.

On his 40th birthday, Jacob, along with his brother Damian, returns to the now abandoned factory their deceased father once managed. Filling the space with laughter and boyhood memories, they recount conflicting versions of a shared history, and unpack the troubles of an ever-uglier present.

Here, in this space, on this night, brotherly love and sibling rivalry become as sinister and indefinable as ever as these two broken warriors climactically lay everything bare.

With Damian a wheelchair user, and Jacob ‘crippled’ by issues unseen by the naked eye, the play seeks to challenge our superficial perceptions.
