What is it like for someone to pursue stand-up comedy while maintaining a full-time corporate job, hanging out with unbearable friends AND raising a baby at the same time? Feel sleep-deprived already? Just spotted a new strand of white hairs? Then this is the show for you!David Truong is a Sydney-based comedian. He started stand-up comedy in 2018 to feed his creativity while escaping from the 9-5 corporate life. During the day, David works in financial services and hides his comedic persona from his colleagues. David chose this route, so his parents are proud, but is constantly reminded by them that he is not funny, just that his face is funny.Since 2018, he’s performed at iconic venues such as Happy Endings Comedy Club, Sydney Comedy Club, Newcastle Comedy Club, and a sold out Enmore Theatre. In 2021, he featured in the Sydney Fringe show ‘Two Finance Managers and an IT Nerd’ and the sold-out Sydney Comedy Festival show ‘Two and a Half Immigrants’ in 2022. He has also had the privilege of sharing the stage with comedy stars such as Tahir Bilgic, Fady Kassab, Luke Heggie, Neel Kolhaktar and Lizzy Hoo, to name a few.
