from $20.00

21 Sep | 1 hour Fringe HQ - Marrickville

Godriguez will play a tripped out, solo guitar, pedals and drum machine sampler journey with hypnotic visuals in order to transport himself and his lulled audience to a consciousness beyond Marrickville.

Godriguez released his debut LP in 2018 entitled “Vol.1 ’14- 18”. A 35 minute selection collected from 7 beat-tapes of over 6 hours worth of beats; Created over 4 years. Compiled from musical obsessions spanning across Cuban religious music, neo classical, West African, jazz, Polynesian, flamenco and classical Egyptian music, there is little untouched.

Godriguez first stepped onto the international scene as the producer and creative force behind Sampa The Great's breakthrough release "The Great Mixtape", acting as musical director at festivals such as Splendour In The Grass and Laneway and played supports for Kendrick Lamar, Fat Freddy's Drop among others as well as solo sets including supporting Hiatus Kaiyote at Somerset House in London.

In 2017 Godriguez formed his 5 piece collaborative project called GODTET. The debut was released in 2017 and was lauded as “album of the year” by House Shoes (Street Corner Music). Their second LP GODTET II (2018) and the Suite EP (2020), further blur the lines between modern production using samples and a reactive band.

2020 saw them release GODTET III LP closely followed by MEDITATIONS LP (2021) an extension of their performance at the Sydney Opera House. Performing with string quartet and Julian Bel Bachir at Vivid 2022 to rave reviews, “far and away the most special show I saw across the entire festival. Was breathtakingly beautiful” (Joe Muller VIVID music
curator), their 6th release in as many years will see the deep artistry of their live performance immortalised as a
live concert album release in 2023.
