Personal Life - Failed, Professional Life - Failed, Social Life - Non existent. All that is about to change Jawbone is a provocative, bold, dark comedy.

Jawbone is a provocative, bold, and controversial dark comedy about a man on the edge trying to come to terms with the death of his beloved mother.

Jawbone explores what it means to be a “successful man” in modern society.

By the modern definition, a “successful man” has a high-paying job, is married, 2 kids, an investment property and takes the family on holidays to Disneyland. Tim hasn’t achieved any of these defining milestones. His family, friends and society see him as an abject failure – as does he. It’s at this rock-bottom state where he breaks from the shackles of his own comatose existence and begins living more “freely” on the edges of life – standing up to his more “successful” married brother, quitting his job as a teacher, gambling, drinking, smoking, exploring his sexuality and finding love.

Reviews

“Lykos was a proper showman, a ringleader booming out to his audience and directing every element of the world around his character.” NIghtwrites

“Lykos was the only person on stage, but we watched and heard more than a dozen characters played by him in a fascinating way that made us laugh and made us cry. The Greek Herald

“It was a sustained, immersive theatre experience, with lots of laughs The Writer's Room

Lykos takes on a mammoth task once more, in creating that fine line between the fourth wall between actor and audience, and still managing to come off as real. City Hub Sydney

Jawbone is such a memorable satire of our times Syndesmos
