RAW State Finalist Maddie Southall is a comedian, actor, and screenwriter. Perth-born, she cut her teeth in the LA comedy scene, eventually performing regularly at the world famous Comedy Store and Flappers Comedy Club. With a Creative Writing degree from UCLA, Maddie returned to Sydney. When she’s not writing for television, she’s writing jokes. Catch her delighting audiences all around Australia with her unique brand of intelligent, whimsical comedy.

After selling out shows for her debut solo show “Villian Era” at Sydney Comedy Festival, Southall is building a new outstanding hour of stand up comedy revealing the underbelly of her seemingly perfect past as an elite athlete. Southall competed in competitive rowing for 8 years, representing Australia at the Junior World Championships in Rio de Janeiro in 2015 before being recruited by the UCLA (University of California Los Angeles) Rowing Team. To the outside eye, she was on cloud nine but inside the world of elite sport, everything was not what it seemed…
