Making Art In An Uncertain World

Free with registration

Sat 25 Sep, 4:00pm | 1 hour

Part of the Festival of Professional Development. Free, registration required.

Times are tough in 2021 – after twelve weeks of lockdown in Sydney, many state and international borders still firmly sealed, and no clear view of what the future will hold, you could be forgiven for feeling pretty low. But while it’s particularly tough being in the arts right now, being an artist can be a core of resilience in the face of adversity.

A panel of arts and mental health experts will share practical advice on how you can develop a practice that sustains you, use your arts practice as a mental health practice, find other fulfilling ways to use your skills (and make money during shutdowns!), and bring your creative collaborators together virtually to share in both creation and simply company.

Presented in partnership with NIDA.
