Stella is no stranger to standing raw and vulnerable in front of scores of people.

Stella is no stranger to standing raw and vulnerable in front of scores of people. She was first introduced to public scrutiny as a competitive dancer and then an elite gymnast. Having represented her native country, Canada, at several international competitions with a stop at the Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain and ending her career as a 5x Commonwealth Games medalist. Upon retiring from international competition, Stella was awarded a full athletic scholarship to attend UCLA where she graduated with a BA in Sociology. Once her athletic and academic careers finished she ran away and joined the circus. She graced the sacred stage of Cirque Du Soleil’s Mystère and Varekai as an acrobat, aerialist and clown in countless countries across the world. She now lives in Newcastle with her husband and seven year old daughter where she teaches yoga and kids acrobatics. Despite an illustrious and fulfilling career, Stella has always had a dream to create, write and star in her own solo show. Having studied sketch and comedy improv with the world renowned Second City Conservatory in Toronto, Canada, stand up comedy did not seem like too far a stretch. So here we are… with what seems like a natural comedic rhythm, Stella is set to bring you some middle-aged mayhem as she gets brutally honest about motherhood, marriage and living the expat life as a Black Canadian woman trolling the streets of Newcastle, NSW, Australia.
