Did you kiss your mum goodbye today? Some farewells are more permanent than others.

It begins in Northern England in 1965 when Jennifer emigrates to Australia leaving her mother Dotty with an empty nest. The story spans 3 generations of women. Weaving in and out of time, Jennifer has the last goodbye.
This is a play about love transcending separation and death.
See You Later Mum is a poignant yet funny play in the style of gig theatre with original songs in an Indie-folk style. It is performed by Christine Firkin and Kay Proudlove who span the generations, sharing the role of Jennifer as the times change and Jennifer ages.

“Deeply touching, hilariously dark at times and with beautifully sung original music, See You Later Mum is a cross generational love letter about hopes, dreams and destiny told through the lives, loves and loss of 3 women” The Sydney Sentinel

Proudlove’s beautiful songs are carried on a guitar and a voice – sometimes the two voices, harmonising heartfelt lyrics with clever rhymes. 4 Stars Stage Whispers

The kinds of trauma arising in families separated by oceans in the current COVID climate makes this play especially relevant. The Clothesline
