Someday – A Mindful Cabaret

Tickets $26 - $29

Sat 10 Sep, 6:30pm | 1 hour

Designed to help you to improve your well-being, Someday features soaring melodies and dynamic arrangements written and performed by Filipino-Australian actor-musician Jennifer Trijo (Once the Musical | Miss Saigon).

Experience a refreshing, thoughtfully curated cabaret performance this Sydney Fringe season with Someday – A Mindful Cabaret at the Flight Path Theatre. Jennifer Trijo invites you to come with a goal in your heart and be led through a journey of mindfulness for one heart-opening hour.

After rave reviews following her Adelaide Fringe season – where audiences described the experience as “refreshing”, “unexpected” and “just what the doctor ordered” – Someday will travel to Sydney in September for a limited season.

In 2018, the talented Filipino-Australian actor, singer and songwriter traded in security for uncertainty by resigning from her permanent music teaching position in a South Australian private school to pursue a freelance career in the arts – her desire was to find a more meaningful life along the way. With previous experience in commercial stage shows such as Once the Musical and Miss Saigon, Trijo now enjoys the flexibility of choosing her own projects and collaborating with people who inspire her.

Despite the many challenges she has faced as a freelance artist these past couple of years, with show cancellations and uncertainty, Trijo has turned this time into a learning experience and taken a deep interest in positive psychology. Through this new interest Someday was born, as a motivational cabaret show bringing together music, words, and messages to create an hour of both peace and stimulation in this busy world.

Trijo was selected to take part in the artist development program Interplay by Nexus Arts and released the studio version of her song ‘Someday’ in October 2020. She has since created this cabaret version featuring more of her original songs.
