The Sydney Fringe Festival is the largest independent arts event in New South Wales with over 450 events in every genre you can imagine each year.
Each September culture creators from all over the city join forces with us share Sydney’s stories and demonstrate the type of city they want to live in all year round and artists from the fringe around the country and the world join us to make a truly global local festival.
Fringe HQ is a pop up venue, it could be anywhere! Check out the Fringe HQ page for current location and events.
The festival runs from 1-30 September every year except for this year due to the COVID-19 crisis we have cancelled our 2020 festival.
All tickets can be purchased online from 1st August on our Buy Tickets page. Some tickets to our feature shows go on sale throughout July and can be found on our Feature Events page. To make sure you don’t miss any early ticket releases, keep an eye on our social channels, as well as subscribing to our e-newsletter.
We accept MasterCard, Visa debit and credit and AMEX.
No, all tickets are purchased online.
We do this for reasons of environmental sustainability and to keep staffing costs down, so audiences pay less while artists make more.
Most venues also operate an in-person box office directly before each performance. Be aware that events may be sold out by this time.
You can show staff your e-ticket on your phone when you arrive at the venue, and door staff at most Fringe venues will have a door list on the night. If in doubt please call the individual venue.
Children under 12 are considered a Concession where concession tickets are available.
Variable tickets for children under 1 are show specific. Please contact our box office for details.
We will only refund or exchange tickets in the event of a show cancellation. If you have purchased tickets to a show that has subsequently been cancelled, please await further instructions from our box office team.
We do not operate a telephone box office but we are on hand to assist you.
