We are delighted to be partnering with 5 Eliza Ltd, the Trustees of the Newtown School of Arts, to support independent artists through the Covid recovery by providing vital open access, subsidised space.
FRINGE HQ Newtown (formerly The Old 505 Theatre) is a 65 seat black box theatre located on Level 1, 5 Eliza Street Newtown, and will be available as an open access venue for hire between April-December 2021 We will be activating the theatre for the remainder of 2021, making the venue available for all of our Fringe community, and working with 5 Eliza to research new shared business models for our sector as we face the massive rebuild post pandemic.
This will take you off out site to our registration platform Eventotron.
If you need to discuss prior to booking the venue please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
Like the Sydney Fringe Festival, the ethos of Fringe HQ is to provide open access space to any artist wanting to stage a show, and Fringe HQ expands that ethos beyond the Festival to all year round. While many other theatres will run exclusively curated programs for their spaces, Fringe HQ provides full open access to expand opportunities for up-and-comers, established artists trying something new, and the artist leaders of tomorrow.
If the dates that work for you are available, no artist wanting to present a show will be turned away!
Registration for booking the space is made super easy through Eventotron! This is the same registration system that we use to register events for the Sydney Fringe Festival, so Sydney Fringe regulars will be familiar already. It combines the application registration to book for the space, contracting, and submission of marketing materials into one simple place.
If you require an accessible format you can find it here.
