OK, here at Fringe we are a bit sick of the ‘Sydney’s dead’ narrative. Yes it’s been pretty rough since the inception of the lockouts, and yes there have been some startling revelations at this year’s Parliamentary Inquiry into Live Music such as: venues being told they can’t have rock music or mirror balls.
So this year we are doing something about it.
We have got everyone on board, and we mean everyone in the Oxford St/Kings Cross area who care about live music, art and the nightlife of our city. We are having one massive 30 day celebration of our local venues, our artists and of all things fun right in the heart of the City.
It’s a bumper month with gigs at the Oxford Art Factory, East Sydney Community & Arts Centre and Eternity Playhouse. We are activating events and performances at the National Art School, UNSW Art & Design, placing an amazing cabaret program in The Beresford, bringing FRINGE CLUB to the Kings X Hotel, opening our festival with FRINGE IGNITE on Oxford St and closing the festival with a giant Heaps Gay event in the precinct.
This will be epic, there will be dancing ...there will be mirror balls ... and we will have fun.

BERESFORD POP-UP CABARET
As part of our Oxford St Hub we have selected a program of tasty cabaret treats and popped them upstairs at The Beresford.
Head on up for endless, frivolous fun as we put the ART back in p-art-y!
