For the first time in 2020 The Sydney Fringe is offering a range of live and on-demand streamed events as part of our Global Fringe programme.
How does it work?
Head to the event page for the event you wish to attend virtually, by searching the event name or discovering the event in the What’s On section.
You can register you interest in advance to receive reminders and updates about the event.
When the live or on-demand stream is available it will be housed on this event page. Simply scroll down until you see the video image, and click play! You can enlarge the display to full screen in the bottom left corner – just like YouTube or Vimeo.
Some events will be available as live streamed ‘Galas’ – From 6:30pm – 9:30pm on Wednesday evenings during September. See individual Gala event pages for dates and details.
All online events will also be available as on-demand streams at the individual event page, for a limited time during September. See individual event pages for dates and details.
In 2020 all online Global fringe events are Pay What You Feel. There is no pay-wall stopping you from accessing the event, but we encourage all viewers to click the “Pay What You Feel Now” icon within the video screen and contribute what you believe the work has been worth to you.
Pay What You Feel sales are processed through the standard ticket purchase process, the only differences are that you can pay before, during or after the event, and you choose the amount!
Some online events will be Auslan Interpreted and/or Closed Captioned and/or Audio Described. See individual event pages for details.
