Fringe Ignite

  • Kensington St Festival Village Kensington Street Chippendale, NSW, 2008 Australia

Get ready to heat the street in our biggest FRINGE IGNITE ever. Our annual opening celebration will take over the Kensington St Festival Village. Filling the street, shopfronts, restaurants, bars and spaces with live music and performance.

Curated by the extraordinary NGAIIRE. Playing everywhere from Splendour to Glastonbury, collaborating with fashion designers and creating sound installations for David Walsh's MONA FOMA, Ngaiire is more then just a singer, songwriter and vocal powerhouse. Her second album Blastoma - a collaboration with producing pals Paul Mac and Jack Grace - transcends musical boundaries with its textured harmonies and rhythms.

Ngaiire is without doubt one of Australia's most unique and fearless artists, as evidenced by her electric live shows, spine-tingling vocals and bold costumes.

Head down from 12pm for tasty treats, great drinks and live performances, with official program kicking off at 4pm.

While there drop into one of our village Pop-Up venues. The Hilarium will be jam packed with stand-up and sketch comedy, improve and more, and catch talks and performances in The Cottage.

Full program announced 1st August.
