It’s officially pink season! Sydney Fringe Festival has well and truly kicked off and the streets are alive with the sound of Fringe.
We’re starting strong with a free street party at The Rocks tomorrow night from 6pm. Expect live beats, surprise performances and plenty of Fringe flair. And if you’re northside, don’t miss Lane Cove Festival @ Sydney Fringe Launch this Friday from 6pm. Think free entertainment, community vibes and loads of family-friendly fun.
Over in Darlinghurst, we flung open the doors of the Eternity Playhouse last night, now home to our Off Broadway Hub. The launch was electric:
Both shows close Saturday 6 September, so trust us, you’ll want to grab tickets fast.
This Sunday, make brunch plans with a twist: FEAST:Morning Tea at 10am, Hurstville Entertainment Centre, hosted by comedian Jennifer Wong. Pastry legend Christopher Thé will debut his Strawberry Watermelon Cake 2.0, a playful riff on the world’s most Instagrammed cake he first created at Black Star Pastry. Bring your appetite (and your phone).
UK music and spoken word poetry sensations Wright & Grainger have landed at 37 George St Terrace, The Rocks. Their schedule Thu-Sun:
HELIOS – 6.30pm
Orpheus – 8.30pm
Grandpa Poseidon – 2pm Sat & Sun (perfect for kids and kids at heart)
Capacity is limited, tickets are already flying, and we’re calling it early: these guys are set to be this year’s Fringe darlings.
With over 460 events across the city, the only wrong move is staying home. Here’s a taste of what’s calling your name this month:
Queer Hub, Qtopia Sydney
Connect with community and celebrate LGBTQIA+ artistry.
Emerging Artist Share House, Erskineville Town Hall
