A one-person comedy musical about the history of trans men, presented by award-winning writer/performer Laser Webber (The Doubleclicks)

Laser Webber, trans musician and actor known for his award-winning comedy duo The Doubleclicks, presents a one-person musical about the history of trans men and his own transition! Meet Alan Hart, the first trans man to get gender-confirming surgery (in 1917); Samuel Bundy, whose legend includes a shark, a robbery, and 12 girlfriends; and renowned children’s author JK Rowling, who uses a man’s name for other reasons, probably. These characters will usher Laser through a life of weddings, divorce, lesbianism, and finally, joy.

"This is a beautiful, hilarious, heart-warming and super fun ride through a history of trans men with Laser’s own story interwoven. I laughed, I cried, I identified with so much of Laser’s journey. It’s funny and clever and everyone should see this!"

Injects much needed laughter and joy into this difficult moment for trans people BroadwayBaby

It is undeniable how entertaining this show is – the chaotic vibes from its title have permeated throughout the show, making it so much fun to watch. What brings this to another level, however, is how successfully this is mixed with more serious material. This show is primarily a celebration of trans joy but it is acutely aware of the climate in which it is being performed and doesn’t shy away from more difficult material – which only makes it more impactful. Lost in Theatreland

Laser is a charming and deeply funny chap, and his story is a careful balance of personal journey, interesting examples of trans-men in history and sci-fi tropes (including an LGBTQ+ TARDIS, or as we like to call it, a TARDIS). The show’s fundamental message is a thing that all reasonable and well-informed folk already know; trans people have always been here. Starburst Magazine
