Boomalli's pop-up exhibition "On the Fringes" features pieces by artists from across NSW Aboriginal Language Groups."On the Fringes" is about ensuring artists have the freedom to create artworks without limitations or discrimination.Aboriginal people have continually been denied access to basic human rights and mistreated by the majority.Boomalli is the longest-running Aboriginal-owned and operated arts organisation dedicated to supporting and promoting NSW Language Group artists. It provides a safe space for artists to exhibit, work and tell their stories through their art.Boomalli operates within a lateral co-operative structure, with senior artists supporting and mentoring new and emerging artists.Its gallery, studio and retail space is located at 55–59 Flood Street, Leichhardt, in Sydney's Inner West.
