About this event
A trance of origin: sounds, gestures, and ancestral memories come alive. This is a journey of identity, belonging, and intergenerational transformation, where the past and future unite in every step.

Dancing with the Roots is a live, immersive performance where movement, voice, and sound come together to evoke stories carried through memory, migration, and cultural inheritance.

Inspired by Latin American cultural landscapes, the work shifts between intimate moments and collective ritual, creating a space where emotion, rhythm, and presence guide the experience. Live music and evolving soundscapes surround the performers, shaping an environment that feels both grounded and dreamlike.

Rather than following a linear narrative, the performance unfolds as a series of encounters: gestures, songs, and images that speak to displacement, belonging, and transformation. Each moment invites the audience into a closer emotional proximity with the performers and their stories.

Rooted in contemporary performance and ancestral references, the work blends the physical and the sonic into a shared space of reflection and connection. It is an invitation to feel rather than simply observe, to enter a living dialogue between past and present, individual memory and collective experience.
