About this event
SURPRISE! You’re dead. It’s time to sit back and let Freidah take the wheel...
It has always been a man’s underworld – ruled by boatmen, judges and gods who demand payment at the threshold. At its edge lives a bewitching creature, not quite divine, not quite mortal. Freidah (no last name) is a once in an afterlife talent, banished by the powers that be (MEN), to the banks of the River Styx. It is here, by the waters edge, where she will usher you, the recently deceased, to begin your afterlife in the underworld... just as soon as the boat gets here... Freidah Will See You Now is the hit clown show from emerging Naarm based artist, Caitlin Duff. Following a year of training at the lauded French clown school, Gaulier, they presented Freidah as their debut solo show at MICF earlier this year. Met with much critical praise, it was quickly labeled an underground hit. With 3 awards nominations and many sold out shows, Freidah returns to the Melbourne audiences, ready to delight in all her spooky glory.★★★★ - Chortle★★★★★ - On The House★★★★★ - The Funny Tonne“Who knew being dead was so much fun?” - Chortle“One of the most memorable clown sets of the fest” - Ryan Hamilton“Clowning isn’t just alive, but flourishing in the form of Freidah” - The Funny Tonne“Destined to become a cult favourite” - On The House“A strikingly original clown persona” - ChortleNominated - Golden Gibbo (MICF 2026)Nominated - Best Newcomer (MICF 2026)Runner Up - Best Bit of Timber (best show) (Dumpster Awards - MICF 2026)
