Something unexpected is coming to Rocks Square. Wildcard is a free, open-air performance series presented as part of Fringe on the Rocks 2026, bringing bold, boundary-pushing acts from across the Sydney Fringe program into the heart of The Rocks every Saturday throughout September. Drawn from the wider festival and delivered as a one-off outdoor experience, Wildcard is Sydney Fringe at its most alive and accessible. Come curious, come open, and prepare to be taken somewhere you didn't expect. The line-up includes:Silent Disco Kids Activation by Disco Peeps11am–2pm, Saturday 5 SeptemberA bright and energetic silent disco inviting children and families to dance together. The activation will run across three 45-minute experiences throughout the day, creating a vibrant and participatory experience for visitors to The Rocks.Typo 11am–12pm, Saturday 12 SeptemberBlending acrobatics, juggling, trapeze, magic and comedy within a quirky fairytale, Typo is a colourful all-ages circus production designed to captivate families and bring a sense of wonder to the precinct.The Giant Balloon Show 11am–12pm, Saturday 19 SeptemberReturning to Wildcard following its success in 2025, this award-winning family favourite combines spectacular balloon creations, an upbeat ’80s soundtrack, comedy and audience participation for a joyful and high-energy experience.Yelling at Children11am–12pm, Saturday 26 SeptemberThis joyful and highly interactive circus-clown show brings together juggling, hula hoops, magic, dance and acrobatics, blurring the line between performer and audience as Mr Shaggles takes you on a journey into his world, which becomes your world.
