Treachery of Images (TOI)
Directed by John Fabry, ICHOR is a visceral exploration of conformity, identity, and self-acceptance. Forced beyond the limits of his comfort zone, Ichor confronts the voices that shape his sense of self, setting him on a journey of transformation.Developed by TOI, the work examines the masculine traits present within all humans, exploring their primal roots through the evolution of our species. Using rhythm, movement, and the collective power of the body to tell its story, ICHOR creates an immersive physical world where fear, desire, and insecurity take form. Through a dynamic physical language, the ensemble brings to life the struggle between authenticity and expectation, revealing the courage it takes to break free from the moulds we impose on ourselves.
