About this event
When you find yourself in paradise, but you’re on your own, how long until you feel you’re in hell?

A fantastical story that explores our search for validation from the world around us for the rational decisions we’ve made ... while our insides tear in two.

Lorelei has spent the last few years of her life with Nigel traveling the world and living in the lap of luxury ... Then why, oh why is she so goddamn miserable?

Blimey if Lorelei herself knows, but something is missing.

Written by Maroussia Vladi and performed for a season off the West End in London in 2019, In Search of Applause returns to the stage.

Based on a true story, this black comedy asks its audience, 'How much have you sacrificed for the sake of comfort and security?'

Only, as Lorelei would put it, “Who’s ever going to be truly happy? We may as well be comfortable.”
