About this event
Three shifty women and their fanged sock puppets - wordless, but with plenty to say - embody hairy disco yetis, haunted embroiderers, grovelling Medieval maids and Brontiesque hunters of farts.

Landed by Frumpus

Legendary theatre group Frumpus are back with their indefinable brand of lovingly handmade silliness.

Three shifty women - wordless, but with plenty to say - embody hairy disco yetis, haunted embroiderers, grovelling Medieval maids, grotesque Hollywood
actresses and Brontësque hunters of farts in the mist.

Joyfully fearless, occasionally filthy and frequently hilarious, Landed inhabits an epic landscape of swiftly ever-shifting characters, seasons, props, costumes, projected imagery and soundscapes.

As the plot darkens, something fierce and unnerving emerges too.

Born from the rich, anarchic energy of the underground, alternative Australian performance scene, Frumpus has created anarchic and beautifully absurd stage-based adventures for decades.

A bold and ballsy work that pushes the edges of performance and comedy, Landed is one of the sharpest, funniest and most unsettling pieces of new theatre around,

Frumpus - where chaos sparkles and failure shines.

Frumpus – 3 and sometimes 4 or 10 women posse that developed from the rich and anarchic Sydney performance scene of the 1990’s. Creating a distinctive style. Their frumpy red tracksuit image soon became a trademark for performance that pushes boundaries, celebrates the ridiculous and punctures ideals of physical perfection. Performance Space Liveworks (2023)

Entering a Frumpus performance is like pushing through to some much-needed Buffy dimension where the demons are actually you in disguise. This dedicated ensemble of shape shifters in matching red tracksuits have you covered. Fire, walk with Frumpus. RealTime Magazine

A wonderful but sweet and strange feeling of confusion. Tertangala,
