No words. One piece of art. Two clowns.
Please take care.Masterpiece is an experimental, movement based theatre work that spotlights two clowns' journey as they engage in one seemingly simple task: hanging up a piece of art. Funny, vulnerable and compelling, Masterpiece features two award winning theatre-makers as they confront foolishly high stakes all in the name of art. Presented inside an actual art gallery, Masterpiece comically (and carefully) exaggerates the idea of audience perspective, persistence and team work. How hard can it be?Masterpiece was developed and produced on Gadigal land by Rachael Colquhoun-Fairweather and Will Bartolo. Rachael is an award winning actor, clown and improvisor. She is a graduate of the Ecole Philippe Gaulier in Paris and is one half of the critically acclaimed comedy collective ‘Noodle Girls’ from which she has co-written and performed ‘Ham Handed Hag Hour’, ‘Wigging Out’ and ‘SHMOOD’. Rachael's most recent theatre credits include Not Now Not Ever (Belvoir/25a), Labyrinth (Dream Plane Productions) and U.B.U: A Cautionary Tale of Catastrophe (Tooth and Sinew). Will is an actor and clown who most recently premiered Lewis Treston's new play 'IRL' at La Boite Theatre in Brisbane. He has worked on stages across the country as an actor for companies including Queensland Theatre, Bell Shakespeare, Legs on the Wall, ATYP, The Australian Chamber Orchestra and Monkey Baa Theatre Company. He is a proud member of MEAA. He has also won awards.
