Enjoy short bursts of poetry and prose: Invited Western Sydney writers plus Open Mic. Book awards, applause and afternoon tea at the legendary venue, WestWords, Parramatta.

An afternoon of Spoken Word follows soon after the launch of the print zine, ZIneWest, which is published by New Writers Group Inc. for aspiring Western Sydney writers and visual artists. Now in its 19th year. Spoken Word (One) Invited ZineWest entrants. The editors of ZineWest usually run out of space on their publishing list. So we invite additional entrants to share their talent at the mic. for a book award, applause and an offer of online publication. Spoken Word (Two) Open Mic on the same afternoon . Sign on at the door. No set theme. You have a precious two minutes: it must be solo and your own work. No dance/music/props. PLenty more book awards and a friendly audience. PM Tea available. Participants must be 16 years and over.
