About this event
Nick was an award-winning comedian for 13 years. Then he spent 7 years as an underground plant shaman, sorting out his shit. Here's some funny thoughts from the path.

Nick Sun was a professional international comedian for 13 years, winning JJJ Raw comedy, UK’s So You Think You’re Funny, appearing on television and various comedy festivals around the world.
Then in 2015, he drank Ayahuasca and went through a healing crisis.
Realising he had some serious demons to deal with, Nick quit standup to embark on a seven-year deep dive into the world of healing, exploring psychedelics, psychotherapy, tantra, embodiment, meditation, martial arts, vision quest and all manner of weird, arcane hippy shit in an effort to heal himself, as well as training and working as an underground plant shaman, guiding over 2000 individual experiences.
He also published his first book, ‘No Mo Trippin’ which he wrote during his most intense years of plant medicine work (2015-2018).
In 2023 his plant medicine journey came to an end and he was called to return back to standup comedy after realising the world itself had become a comedy, and so he begun performing again.
If you like your comedy real, raw, honest and truthful, then this show is for you.
I hate being like 'I'm an offensive comedian' because it's not my MO, but if you are easily offended at language and PC stuff, then definitely don't come!

‘If you see Nick Sun and you didn’t enjoy it, it’s because you sucked as an audience.’
- Doug Stanhope

‘A bittersweet mix of enjoyment, uncontrollable laughter, awkwardness and bewilderment. Completely unlike anything else around.’
- Chortle

‘His multilayered material is inspired in its warped convention rattling logic.’
- Chortle

‘The real deal... Touched with a certain unorthodox kind of genius... Rewarding and always idiosyncratic.’
- Guardian
