Werner Herzog at Video Jungle

A one-performer homage to nostalgic third spaces through the eyes of an unexpected custodian. Written and performed by Caitlin A. Kearney.

In the 2020s, acclaimed filmmaker Werner Herzog works in one of the last surviving video rental stores in suburban Sydney. The "why" is not important; he has other concerns. His boss is a letch, his customers can't stay out of jail, and the technology to get Kinetic Sand out of very old carpet hasn't been invented yet. It's all a thin distraction from the grim fact that business is drying up faster than a local kid can pinch a Golden Gaytime from the freezer.
