Trapped within the ominous walls of a stunning pink mansion, RPG meets Escape Room in this unique puzzle adventure, played out in bespoke miniatures at 1:12 scale.

While wandering back homewards late one night, you and a dear group of friends stumble upon a magnificent sight: a towering bright pink house. Charmed by its vivid stately walls, fine manicured topiaries, and myriad faux flamingos, you find yourselves inexplicably drawn closer. But as you approach, all blissfully unable to sense the mounting peril, your vision begins to blur then fade. And when consciousness returns so too comes the awful and impossible certainty that you are all now trapped deep within that same house, that every door and window is locked, and that you are most definitely not alone...

Escape From Flamingo House is a lavish immersive puzzle game for teams of 2-4 players, brought to life with custom 1:12 scale miniatures. Theatrically guided by a charming costumed host, this original interactive adventure is a unique blend of Role Playing Game and Escape Room, and weaves together responsive storytelling with satisfying lateral thinking puzzles, and meticulous prop design.

Caught behind those bewitching pink walls, players must work together to outwit their opulent prison, swiftly uncovering clues and cracking riddles in a nail-biting race against time. With each intricate room offering fresh curiosities and challenges, and under the elusive eye of an eldritch presence whose glamorous voice taunts from the walls, each team must navigate their surreal and increasingly perilous scaled-down cage to escape in under 75 minutes.

A treat for RPG, Table Top, and Escape Room veterans, or simply those craving novel interactive experiences, Escape from Flamingo House is created, designed, and performed by Sydney artist Seymour Nixen and their company Mad Mandrake Made. Returning in 2026 after a sell out season at Sydney Fringe Festival 2025, this is Mad Mandrake Made's second original puzzle game experience and fourth run in Fringe's Immersive & Interactive category.

Things to note: Escape From Flamingo House is designed for teams of 2-4 players, and is priced per game. Each game session is booked by one group, and totals 90-100 minutes with 75 minutes of gameplay. Game sessions must be booked in advance and are paid per group (2-4 players). Groups must arrive 10 minutes before their scheduled game, and wait on ground level. Late arriving players may cause their group's game time to be reduced as game briefing cannot commence until all players are present. Be advised that this game has been designed with mature players in mind, and is best enjoyed by adults. Though the game contains no explicit sexual content, strong language, or jump scares, it does include elements of suggested violence and minor gore. The tone of the game is playful and mysterious, but includes mild frightening scenes, moments of low light, and descriptions of players being injured. The game is not suitable for young families, and all players must be over 15 years of age unless with written permission from the producers.
