Sydney Fringe is creating more opportunities and accessibility for Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and other First Nations communities to have a fringeing good time!
DEADLY TIX = discounted tickets for Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and other First Nations people.
All Sydney Fringe Festival shows have allocated a % of their tickets to DEADLY TIX.
Tickets will be sold until allocation is exhausted.
It’s real simple to get ‘em.
Browse our program and follow the prompts to book your ticket. Select DEADLY TIX when asked which type of ticket you want. You’ll then be asked to tell us who your Mob is in order to complete your order. Then follow the prompts to make your purchase. Your DEADLY TIX will be emailed to your inbox.

Our aim is to make sure our audiences and artists truly represent the diversity of our beautiful city. Embodying the principle of “First Nations First” is vital to us, and we’re determined to put it into practice at every step of our journey as a Festival and organisation.
The Deadly Tix Program plays a key role in achieving our vision for a Festival that celebrates and respects First Nations People. By offering discounted tickets, we warmly invite underrepresented communities in our city to participate in the Fringe festivities.
Reducing financial barriers is essential because it acknowledges the existing gap in access to arts for indigenous Australians. Without the participation of First Nations people in our audiences, we wouldn’t be staying true to our principles or providing platforms for their voices to guide us.
Our hope for the future is to see barriers dismantled, making programs like Deadly Tix obsolete. We’re devoted to removing access barriers and ensuring The Sydney Fringe becomes a space where everyone can unite in the celebration of arts and culture.
Before you begin: This program is designed to allow greater access for Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, Pasifika and other First Nations Artists to attend Sydney Fringe Festival events and to ensure their participation in the festival (September 01 – 30). Your First Nations Identity is personal to you. You will not be required to provide proof.
What you get: A 2025 Friends of Fringe Pass. This pass allows you access to any show throughout the festival for free – provided there is an empty seat, and you are at the venue at least 15 mins before the start time to fill it. With your Pass, you’ll also have access to a range of discounts on food and drinks at Fringe Managed Venues and Fringe Partner Venues around the city as well as invitations to our key events like our Awards Night. Passes are non-transferable and only valid for the named pass holder. Pass holders will also be emailed additional discounts and free ticket offers throughout the festival.
Fringe is better shared! In 2025 Friends of Fringe can also request a ‘Plus 1’ pass that is an additional Pass for you to take someone with you to the show.
How do you use it:
It’s real simple. Your pass will be given to you as a physical card which you can wear on a lanyard or carry in your wallet. Head to the event you want to see and show the Pass at the door. The Pass holder will be admitted to the event for free as long as there are available seats. If a house is close to full you may be asked to wait until paying patrons are seated before you are admitted. To use your discounts please show your pass at participating bars and venues. Details of participating venues will be made available closer to the festival.
Post Festival
