About this event
GHOSTS is a genre-defying musical invocation for voice and harp, shattering expectations of what this pairing can be. Inspired by longing, unfinished stories, and voices that refuse to fade, it draws audiences into a richly atmospheric world of music and memory.

duoBliss! is harpist Jacinta Dennett and chanteuse, actress, musical curator and producer Nadia Piave, whose long-standing collaboration blends art song, folk traditions and theatrical storytelling.

Across three decades, duoBliss! has cultivated a performance style that is intimate, imaginative and site-responsive. Their work resonates in historic and atmospheric spaces, where music, story and place intersect. Their new program, GHOSTS: Where the Stairway Leads, has been brewing for years and now wafts into the Sydney Fringe.

Folk songs, contemporary classics, and reimagined popular works entwine as duoBliss! sweeps audiences across haunted thresholds between love and loss, shadow and flame, ground and glory.

Performed in a space that both haunts and harmonises, the beautiful sandstone Campbell Street Church in Balmain provides the perfect setting for songs that summon the ghosts we carry, the ones we inherit, and the ones that refuse to leave.

Heathcliff, it's me...
