Jesus Christ Suma Star

Cast as Jesus at the Eastern Mass at my catholic girls’ school but more than just a girl behind a fake beard pretending to be the Son of God, being the Saviour of Humanity hasn’t been everything I expected.

Jesus Christ Suma Star is a stand-up comedy show about growing up as a person of colour in Wollongong during the late nineties and early noughties. The show involves a lot of storytelling and a lot of crowd work as well. The crowd work involved is inclusive and intended to immerse audience members more fully in the story being told.
