About this event
Two strangers perform high-wealth status on a dating app to escape their unglamorous lives, only to find that fantasy and financial reality are incompatible lovers.

A Comedy About Love, Lotto, Lies, Living Beyond Your Means.

Just Enrichment explores modern romance, financial fantasy, and the spectacular art (and costs) of pretending to have it all.

Meet Leeanne, who insists soap operas are a fair reflection of life, and Benjamin, who is “loudly unemployed” but being aggressively rebranded by his mother as a premium-grade husband. When Leeanne and Benjamin meet online, each pretending to be wealthier, wiser, and far more stable than they actually are, their worlds collide in the perfect storm of glamour, delusion, and wildly inflated expectations.

Leeanne and Benjamin are in no small way helped by their mothers, who are both seeking a end to interminable parenthood. In their quest to finally have a peaceful and empty nest, the mothers treat their children's dating like a high‑stakes investment portfolio. and potential mergers and acquisitions.

Also entering into the mix is a pair of debt collectors trying to understand the spending habits of their caseloads.

This theatrical play explores the hilarious pressure to appear successful, the lies told on dating apps, the fantasy of wealth, the emotional cost of keeping up appearances, and the universal desire to feel valuable.

In an era of the cost-of-living-crisis, this play affords some much-needed laughter and existential relief.

Like yourself, this play is most definitely worth investing in!

Written by Jonathan Solomon and starring Liron Peer, Bernard Woodcock, Karen Firmstone, Georgina Philpott, Matt Bonnici and Natalija Karna.
