You may laugh, you may cry. We guarantee you'll feel something!
LaughCry is a celebration of big feelings where queer comics and poets bring their wittiest one-liners and their most moving musings to the stage. Expect poetry to rip your heart out, and stand-up to stitch it back up (get it? stitches? comedy?). You may laugh, you may cry, we guarantee you'll feel something! FEATURING AND HOSTED BY Ria AdeleRia is a queer Tanzanian poet, performer and therapist, based on Gadigal/Wangal land. Ria's insightful and self-reflective verses beautifully explore themes of grief, mental illness, relationships, and healing. With a soothing tone, rhythmic delivery and a knack for rhyme, Ria invites listeners into her deep emotional world through the power of spoken word. Accompanied by captivating instrumental tracks, her performance creates an immersive experience that lingers in the heart and mind long after the final word is spoken. Jordana WegmanJordana is a queer Sydney based comedian, also based on Gadigal/Wangal land (the exact same as Ria. They share a wall). She has trained at ITS and iO Chicago, performing in the US and at the New Zealand Improv Festival. with her troupe "Spill It".
