Rogue Projects

Artists in Residence

November 2020 – January 2021

Rouges On The Rocks

From November through to January 2021, Rogue Projects is popping up in The Rocks with a huge season of artist discovery, new works developments, a short film shoot, and a brand spanking new workshop series ā€“ all engineered to inject some Rogue energy into this historic precinct. Supported by Place Management NSW and Sydney Fringe, the program is a fantastic opportunity to fast-track the creation of new stories from emerging and established writers, actors, and artists, and you’ll be able to see what they’ve been up to very soon. Keep an eye on their Facebook page @rogueprojectsau and their website to hear about upcoming artist opps and their January workshop series ā€“ full details are coming soon.

And if you’d like to meet Erica and Robbi to chat about your work during Rogues on The Rocks, drop them a line and come down to Rogue House on Harrington Street to meet the team.

About Rouge Projects

Rogue Projects is an award-winning theatre and film producer based in Sydney’s inner west. They’ve been around since 2015, with their first productions produced under their original name, Company of Rogues. They’ve produced outstanding independent theatre in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Edinburgh, and they continue to foster the development of new work with a commitment to invisible artists and untold stories.

The company is committed to creating opportunities for artists that the creative industry cannot see. They do this with inclusive hiring policies, a commitment to audition at least 50% of all roles in their work, industry call outs, creating development opportunities, and by actively seeking artists who have demonstrated talent and skill but for reasons beyond their control have not been afforded the opportunities some of us take for granted.

The Rogues look for new and old stories that are not on our stages. They foster longer-term relationships with writers, and they seek out opportunities to help them develop their work. From 2018-2020 the company has been in-residence at Critical Stages Touring as a Resident Artist/Producer.
