Sydney Fringe Festival 2026 Audience Survey Prize Draw – Terms and Conditions
1. Promoter
The promoter is The Sydney Fringe Incorporated (ABN 16 393 987 277), of 303 Marrickville Road, Marrickville NSW 2204 (“Sydney Fringe” or the “Promoter”).
2. Eligibility
Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over who complete the Sydney Fringe Festival 2026 Audience Survey during the Promotion Period.
Employees, contractors and members of the management of Sydney Fringe who are directly involved in conducting or determining the winner of the promotion, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter.
Entrants must provide a valid email address in order to be eligible for the prize draw.
Only one entry per person is permitted.
3. Promotion Period
The promotion opens on Friday 28 August and closes at 11:59pm AEDT on Wednesday 14 October 2026 (“Promotion Period”).
Entries received after the Promotion Period will not be eligible.
4. How to Enter
To enter, eligible participants must:
(a) complete and submit the Sydney Fringe Festival 2026 Audience Survey during the Promotion Period; and
(b) provide a valid email address when prompted for the purpose of entering the prize draw.
There is no additional cost to enter the promotion.
Participation in the prize draw is optional and is not required in order to complete the Audience Survey.
5. Prize
There is one (1) prize available.
The prize is one (1) Visa Gift Card valued at AUD $500.
The total prize pool is AUD $500.
The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed or substituted for cash, except where required by law.
Use of the Visa Gift Card is subject to any applicable terms and conditions imposed by the card issuer.
6. Prize Draw
The prize draw will take place on Friday 16 October 2026 at the Sydney Fringe office, 303 Marrickville Road, Marrickville NSW 2204.
The winner will be selected at random from all valid and eligible entries received during the Promotion Period using a random electronic selection method.
Each eligible entry will have an equal chance of being selected.
The draw will be conducted by an authorised representative of Sydney Fringe.
The entrant selected in the draw will be the provisional winner, subject to verification of their eligibility under these Terms and Conditions.
7. Winner Notification
The winner will be notified using the email address supplied with their competition entry within two (2) business days of the prize draw.
The notification will advise the winner of the prize and provide instructions for claiming it.
Where required by applicable law, Sydney Fringe will also publish the winner’s name through an appropriate Sydney Fringe channel.
8. Claiming the Prize
The winner must respond to Sydney Fringe and claim their prize within fourteen (14) days of the date on which the winner notification email is sent.
Sydney Fringe may require the winner to provide reasonable information necessary to verify their identity and eligibility before awarding the prize.
If the winner:
(a) does not claim the prize within fourteen (21) days of notification;
(b) cannot reasonably be contacted using the details provided;
(c) is found to be ineligible; or
(d) otherwise fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions,
the prize will be deemed unclaimed.
9. Unclaimed Prize Draw
If the prize remains unclaimed, Sydney Fringe will conduct a further random draw from the remaining eligible entries on Monday 2 November 2026 at the Sydney Fringe office, 303 Marrickville Road, Marrickville NSW 2204.
Any replacement winner will be contacted by email within two (2) business days of the redraw and will have fourteen (21) days from the date of notification to claim the prize.
Any unclaimed prize will be dealt with in accordance with applicable State or Territory laws.
10. Verification and Disqualification
Sydney Fringe reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and the eligibility of entrants.
Sydney Fringe may disqualify an entry where it reasonably believes that the entrant has:
(a) provided false or misleading information;
(b) submitted duplicate or fraudulent entries;
(c) tampered with or attempted to interfere with the entry or draw process; or
(d) otherwise breached these Terms and Conditions.
11. Changes or Cancellation
If the promotion is unable to proceed as reasonably anticipated due to circumstances beyond Sydney Fringe’s reasonable control, Sydney Fringe may modify, suspend, postpone or cancel the promotion, subject to any directions or approvals required by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
12. Privacy
Sydney Fringe will collect entrants’ personal information, including their email address, for the purpose of administering the promotion, conducting the prize draw, contacting and verifying the winner and awarding the prize.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Sydney Fringe Privacy Policy.
Entry into the prize draw does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive marketing communications from Sydney Fringe. Any consent to receive marketing communications will be obtained separately.
Sydney Fringe may disclose personal information where required by law or to third-party service providers where reasonably necessary to administer the promotion or provide the prize.
13. Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
Subject to those rights, Sydney Fringe is not responsible for any loss caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including technical failures that prevent an otherwise valid entry from being received.
Sydney Fringe is not responsible for any terms, restrictions, expiry dates or conditions imposed by the issuer of the Visa Gift Card, except to the extent that responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. General
Sydney Fringe’s decisions regarding the administration of the promotion and eligibility of entries are final, subject to applicable law.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
The promotion is governed by the laws applicable in New South Wales and any other Australian State or Territory laws that apply to an entrant or the conduct of the promotion.
