With two years of shows behind us, our 20th edition features artists who are breathing new light into their work, approaching old songs with fresh ears. PASS PAUSE PLAY SECOND BIRTHDAY will feature: DOBBY, Malaika Mfalme, and Saxon Penn.DOBBYARIA Award-winning artist DOBBY is a true force of nature, with his electrifying live performances leaving audiences spellbound. A rapper, drummer, composer, and producer, he brings an unmatched energy to the stage. Proudly identifying as Filipino and Murrawarri, DOBBY's roots run deep in the Aboriginal lands of Brewarrina and Weilmoringle in New South Wales.MALAIKA MFALMELondon-born and raised across continents, Malaika Mfalme is a Tanzanian/Australian singer, songwriter, guitarist, and cultural producer creating on Gadigal Land (Sydney). In Swahili, their name translates to "Angel King." Blending folk, soul, East African choral traditions, and immersive live looping, Malaika creates music rooted in Black love, grief, tenderness, and collective healing. SAXON PENNSaxon Penn writes songs where beauty and heartbreak share the same room. Drawing from the raw storytelling traditions of folk and country music.
