Ticketing FAQ'S

Q. How do I contact the ticketing team?
A. The best way to contact our ticketing team is by emailing us at boxoffice@sydneyfringe.com. You can also call us at 02 7813 4527 between the hours of 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Q. Can I exchange my tickets?
A. Yes, but only to other performances of the same show, and subject to availability and a $3 per-ticket exchange fee.

Exchanges can be made up to 72 hours before a performance via your Fringe tickets account. Here’s a handy guide to help you navigate it.

Q. When will I receive my ticket?
A. If you’ve finalised your purchase, your tickets will be in your inbox in minutes with your confirmation email. Be sure to check your email.

We’ll also re-send them to you 24 hours before your event to save you scrambling through your inbox come festival time.

If they haven’t arrived at all let us know at boxoffice@sydneyfringe.com and we’ll have a look for them. Be sure to check your spam folder first!

Q. Does my child need a ticket?
A. Children under the age of 2 can enter child-friendly Sydney Fringe Festival events without a ticket, so long as they remain on your lap.

Events for our littlest audiences (Bubba Licious, Spaghetti Confetti) require a ticket for children under 2.

Q. How can I redeem the 3 event ticket offer?
A. To redeem the 3 event ticket offer, place non-discounted tickets (i.e. Full Price, Adult, Child) in your cart for 3+ events. The discount will automatically apply at check-out. Please note the offer is subject to availability and is not available at externally ticketed events such as Riverside Theatres, Sydney Opera House or Factory Theatre.

Q. Do I qualify for a concession ticket?
A. If an event has concession prices listed you are eligible if you are of the following:
Full Time Student (domestic and international)
Pensioner
Senior
Health Care Card Holder
Unemployed
Members of the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA)

Be sure to have proof of concession on hand when attending our events.

Q. I have specific access requirements – how do I check if an event is accessible for me and book tickets?
A. Breakdowns of each venue’s accessible features can be found on our website by clicking the venue name on an event page.

For assistance with bookings please call our Box Office.

Q. How do I book with a Companion Card?
A. To book, please purchase the quantity of full-priced tickets you want as part of your order and email our Box Office about adding a complimentary Companion Card ticket.

Q. Are my tickets allocated to a specific seat?
A. All events at Sydney Fringe Festival are general admission and seating is first come first serve. The only events with assigned seating are at the Emerald Room and FEAST.

Q. Can I get my tickets printed?
A. You can, but we’d prefer to save the paper. Tickets can be scanned when displayed from your phone. Just keep that brightness high when entering a venue.

Q. What are your Terms and Conditions of Sale?
A. You can find our full terms on our website here.

Q. I can no longer attend my event, can I get a refund?
A. Per our Terms and Conditions we don’t refund ticket purchases for a change of mind. If you can no longer attend an event, we recommend passing along your tickets to friends or family.

Q. Can I book in person?
A. Yes! You can go and talk to an actual human being at our Box Office in the Village Green Festival Garden at Darling Quarter.

Q. I’ve found tickets online that are not sold by Sydney Fringe, are they legitimate?
A. Some Fringe venues issue their own tickets such as Riverside Theatres Parramatta, The Sydney Opera House, and Century Venues. Other authorised ticket sellers include Show Film First and Today Tix.

Q. Can I pay with cash?
A. All payments at Sydney Fringe Festival are card-only. Please prepare accordingly.

Q. Can I pay for tickets at the door?
A. Only for events at Darling Quarter, where we have our Box Office. However, you can purchase tickets for an event online via the web or our app up to the performance start time.

Q. I’ve lost an item of possession at one of your venues. Who do I contact to help retrieve it?
A. The best thing to do is contact venues directly. You can also submit a lost property request via our Lost Property Form and we will investigate.
