Event Registration open for Sydney Fringe Festival 2025 March 17 – April 13

 

Welcome 2025 Event Presenters! We are thrilled to have you onboard to help us shape the 16th annual Sydney Fringe Festival!

Whether you’re an artist, event presenter, groover, shaker, belter, comic, poet, acrobat sensation, drag star, performance artist, storyteller, or any kind of artist imaginable, we are excited to roll out this year’s festival with you. Sydney Fringe strives to be a physically and culturally safe space for everyone in our community, with programs and resources dedicated to First Nations artists and audiences, and people from the d/Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent communities. Plus, a dedicated Hub programmed for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Made in Sydney 2025
Applications close March 16

After four successful festival seasons Made in Sydney returns as one of our flagship festival programs, presenting the best locally made independent work.  The intention of Made in Sydney is to showcase exceptional Sydney stories that have clear proof of production and are ready to take the next step in the productions presentation.

Successful applicants will present a season at Sydney Fringe Festival 2025 in our Made in Sydney Hub. The festival will then work with the companies to secure additional touring opportunities.

Sydney Fringe Comedy Applications
Coming Soon

Presented as part of the Sydney Fringe Festival, the annual Sydney Fringe Comedy festival showcases emerging and established comedians performing exclusively new works. The 2025 festival will see over 120+ acts perform across five venues at Marrickville’s Factory Theatre.

This is a curated program with applications opening for Fringe Comedy on March 17 2025.

The Lab@UNSW
Open Feb 20

The Lab@UNSW is an exciting new partnership between UNSW’s School of Arts & Media and Sydney Fringe Festival. This experimental hub, housed in Studio 1 at the Esme Timbery Creative Practice Lab, will showcase innovative works from UNSW alumni alongside other experimental and innovative artists for two weeks across the Sydney Fringe.

The 2025 season will feature two weeks of cutting-edge performances, creating a vibrant platform for experimental and intermedial work in Sydney.

Artist Support

 

First Nations Artists

We are here to meet, listen to and support our First Nations Artists however we can. We also are here to help you navigate cultural risks or opportunities that may arise in our event presenters work. We draw on cultural consultants for advice as well as to provide resources to help facilitate your work.

For questions, queries or just to have a yarn please email First Nations Coordinator Erica Brennan erica@sydneyfringe.com. She works part time but is contactable between 9- 5, Tues & Thurs.

Erica also has open office hours between 10am & 2pm on Thursday for anyone to come and have a yarn. Fringe Offices: Level 1 of the Marrickville Town Hall 303 Marrickville Rd, Marrickville.
